Who is a Jesus?

Who is a Jesus?

"(Jesus questioned his followers:) and you, who do you say that I am? Simon Pierre answered: you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." Matthieu 16:13-17

That Jesus existed, it makes doubt for nobody, religious or godless. Next to the Bible, there are numerous historic testimonies concerning him, written by authors of his time. We consider him generally as a man of property who wanted to relieve his fellow countrymen. Some people would today want to imitate his example, to deprive itself of all their wealth to find values which are absent in their life. Others, on the contrary, more numerous, think that all this is of another time(period), that things changed and that it is better to look for the material prosperity to share with the others it …

But the real question is somewhere else! Before knowing how to imitate the example of the Christ, it is necessary to know whom he is. As long as we assimilate him to a common person, we are on the wrong track. Of his time already, few people knew how to discern in him "the Son of the Living God". And when Pierre made this statement, Jesus answered him: "you are happy". Yes, the happiness of the believer comes from this conviction: "God sent his Only son to the world, so that we lived by him". "God loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins" (1 Jean 4:9, 10).

He(It) is beneficial to deal with the kindness and the dedication of Jesus during his(its) life, but it is essential to see the Son of God giving its life to save the sinners, and to believe the promise that "the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us of any sin" (1 Jean 1:7).
