Crises (10): the persecution

Crises (10): the persecution

"(Said Jesus:) the slave is not more tall than its master. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you." Jean 15:20

"God is faithful, who will not allow that you are tempted ,(proven) beyond what you can support, but with the temptation he will also make the outcome, so that you can support her." 1 Corinthians 10:13

      - The example (Jérémie 38:1-13): "those who are my enemies without cause hunted me as to the bird. They removed me the life in a pit, and threw stones on me. Waters flowed over my head; I said: I am entrenched (I am going to die)! I called upon your name, o Eternal! Of the pit of abysses.

You heard my voice; do not hide your ear from my sigh, from my shout. You approached in the day when I called upon you; you said: be not afraid. Lord, you took in hand the cause of my soul, you acquired my life. You saw, Eternal, the wrong which we make me; judge my cause" (Lamentations of Jérémie 3:52-59)

      - The lesson: in the well where he was thrown, the prophet Jérémie asks his God, who answers him: "be not afraid". At the same time a servant of king, informed of who passed, has the courage to speak to king. Strangely, the monarch gives him the order to go to help the prophet (Jérémie 38:7-10).

God answers Jérémie's prayer, encourages him not to be afraid, and urges somebody to advance at the right time. Often God so acts: he coordinates the events to free his, he strengthens their faith and restores them courage. He also intervenes on the outside circumstances of our life. If he allows that we are felt, that we suffer by loyalty for its Name, he also prepares the end of the test. God acts in us and also in our favor, because he is "for us": nothing can separate us from his love (Romain 8:31, 35, 39).
