Divine solution to human problems

Divine solution to human problems

"That your faith does not rest on the wisdom of the men, but on God's power." 1 Corinthians 2:5

The fundamental problems of the human being stay and will remain unchanged. The Gospel is not a shape of human wisdom which will go out of fashion. It is an eternally relevant message about God and of his love which he sends in each of us. The existential problems of the man are well known: he needs to be liked, he needs to have a hope in the face of the death, he needs to be freed from the consequences of his disobedience to God. The Gospel answers its deep aspiration and shows how our relation with God can be established: on the basis of the death and of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel does not content with diagnosing the situation of the man, he suggests transforming her. He does not content with identifying our problems, he proclaims it the solution. He testifies of God's extraordinary love towards us, and shows us to where this love went to save us from a certain condemnation: he went until the gift of Jesus Christ, and he now wants to free us so that we can live in his presence from today. Furthermore, he offers us a firm and unwavering hope for the future. Thanks to his death and to his resurrection, Jesus Christ has the power to free "those who, by the fear of the death", held, "during all their life, in slavery" (Hebrew 2:15).

The Christian faith does not amount to an insurance for the afterlife, far from it. But the fact is that she gives the answer to this so painful question.
