Am I a real Christian?

Am I a real Christian?
"You are … conscripts of Jesus Christ."  Romain 1:6
"you are the salt of the earth." Matthew 5:13
What a real Christian? Is it someone who goes to the church, or who was baptized? Or more simply, a citizen of a "Christianized" country? In time, this term lost many of its sense and its value. He is too occasionally used to indicate a person really converted to the Christian faith, the follower of Jesus Christ. We well intend to say that "you can't judge a book by its cover". God does not look at the appearance, but at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). So a person who does not need a Jesus Christ but considers Christian because she goes to the church or participates in good works, has a Christian only the facade. She has no link with God, who reads in the heart.

A real "Christian" recognized himself sinner in front of the holy God, and put his faith and his confidence completely in Jesus Christ, crucified for his sins. What a rest of knowledge that Jesus carried the punishment! He died, then resuscitating, showing as well as he is Son of God.

The Christian is not better than the others. He has the same nature, producing impure thoughts and bad works: pride, lie, anger … But, by accepting Jesus for Rescuer, he receives eternal life, with the capacity and the responsibility for showing in the world the characters of his Rescuer. Lord Jésus expects from those whom he acquired that they are his witnesses: "you are shown as Christ's letter" (2 Corinthians 3:3). Does my life show it?
